Project Details
This parish church dedicated to St James the Apostle is a lovely parish church constructed originally C14/15th century. The spire was clad in copper shingles. Wind had bent some and loosened them. The scope was to replace all of them, as the banding proved they were approaching the end of their life. An innovative design was agreed for the replacements. The sight of a newly clad copper spire was just something else. It shone in the sun and was visible for miles around. There were also some beautiful Oak Gothic Arched louvre windows to remake and structural work to the steel spire frame within. Later painting the same.
