Sam has worked in construction for 19 years, starting as an apprentice in bench joinery and site carpentry gaining NVQ3 in both, whilst also being awarded The Institute of Carpenters Certificate.
Sam then opened up S. Foster Carpentry which led him to grow his own property portfolio which still stands today. After the last recession Sam decided to come away from new buildings and concentrate on renovations and conservation work. Having now been in conservation for 6 years, Sam has found this to be truly rewarding.
During Sam’s 3 years with Corbel, has been managing the refurbishment of Halswell House, an extensive Grade 1 Manor house with surrounding gardens, which is full of history and one day will hopefully be fully restored to its former glory.
